Come to the New Madrid Memorial Library branch and listen to Tyrannosaurus Rex vs. Edna, The Very First Chicken! We'll have a roaring good time as we create some dinosaur and chicken water color paintings!
Spread the love! Join us at our main branch on February 1, 2025 at 10:00 am. We will listen to a wonderful story by Felicia Bond then we will do two fun STEM activities and make a super cute Valentine's Day Wreath.
We'll follow along with a video from Youtube content creator, Secret Yarnery and learn basic skills to build a granny square! You can bring your own yarn, crochet hook, a stitch marker, and yarn needle or the library has limited supplies that we can share! Come learn a new skill in this program for ages 12 to adult!
Come to our New Madrid Memorial Branch on February 15th at 10:00 AM CST. We'll read One Day In The Eucalyptus, Eucalyptus Tree by Daniel Bernstrom. Afterwards, we will make our own whirly twirly toys like the boy has in the story.
It is a lucky day! Come to our main branch on March 1, 2025 at 10:00am and hear a wonderful story by Eve Bunting. We will do a fun STEM activity and create a Pot of Gold craft!
Come to our New Madrid Branch on March 15th at 10:00AM and listen to a reading of Devin Elle Kurtz's book, The Bakery Dragon. We'll create paper dragon puppets and our own stories too!

Don't play possum on this program – sign up your little ones to learn all about opossums and participate in some opossum-themed crafts and activities. Join us at our Portageville branch for a fun and quirky afternoon of creating bad art on March 27, 2025 at 3:00 pm! We'll provide the supplies, and you bring your worst artistic skills. Once finished, everyone will vote for the worst masterpiece, and the winner will receive a trophy. Come for the laughs, stay for the chaos!
Let's Celebrate Spring! We will listen to a book version of Singing In The Rain written by Tim Hopgood then do two fun STEM activities. We will also craft our own Rain Clouds!
Join as at our New Madrid Memorial Branch on April 19th at 10:00AM to hear Farmer Brown Goes Round and Round by Teri Sloat. We'll have some fun and craft some fluffy sheep and chicks!
Mayday! Mayday! Come to our main branch on May 3rd, 2025 at 10 AM and listen to Bubble Trouble by Tom Percival! We will do bubble themed STEM activities and a fun paint craft with bubble wrap.
Octopuses, Octopi? Come to our New Madrid Memorial Branch on May 17th at 10 AM. We will read The Octopus Escapes by Maile Meloy and then we will sculpt our own octopus or sea creature to take home.
