The New Madrid County Library accepts all gifts, regardless of format, with the understanding that they will be used or disposed of as the library sees fit. The Director will issue receipts for tax purposes with number and type of items only. No monetary value will be assigned to any donations.

A book, or the cost of a book, may be donated to the library in honor or in memory of an individual. These books are marked as Memorial books and have bookplates placed inside. Due to limited space, we cannot accept donations that are duplicates of books already in the collection or books with a copyright older than five years. You can request that the materials be housed at any one of the seven branches in our system. We will be happy to assist you in making a book selection.
